Diocletian palace

This famous 1700 years old palace is the heart and a symbol of the city. It is the only palace from the Roman age in which people still live to this day. Inside the palace there is Imperial Square Peristil with the main cathedral “Sveti Duje”.

In the Palace there are also filming locations for the famous “Game of Thrones”. If you’re a fan of the show, you will enjoy themed tours and the official museum with souvenirs, iron throne, wax figures and more.

Bačvice beach

This is the oldest and most famous city beach, just 500 m from our place. People on Bačvice are bathing all year long, even during winter months. You can always see people on the beach playing “Picigin” – local game played in the shallow part of the beach. The goal of the game is to keep the ball in the air without it touching the sea.

Above the beach there are cafés from which you can enjoy watching the game and all nearby Dalmatian islands in the distance.

Žnjan beach

Žnjan is one of the most popular beaches in Split, both among locals and tourists. It offers a lot of activities for all ages and a beautiful clean water. Dalmatian lifestyle is very slow and there is no hurry.

For those who want to just go slowly, Žnjan beach has a great offer of bars where you can just chill, drink your coffee and enjoy the sun and nice sunsets.

Marjan hill

From Via Porto Rooms you can see the hill Marjan, above the town towards the sea. Marjan is known as “the lungs of the city” and the green oasis for locals. It is a place for relaxation and recreation with the numerous promenades through the pine woods, offering beautiful views of the city and nearby islands. This is where you can run, ride a bike or walk

Klis fortress

If you haven’t heard of Klis fortress before, now with The Game of Thrones it surely became one of the most popular places to visit when in Split. This unavoidable stop is actually a medieval fortress that was protecting Dalmatia throughout centuries.

Except for the beauty of the fortress itself, the location offers spectacular views over the city of Split.

Islands Brač & Hvar

Just across Split you will find these two splendid islands that will fascinate you with their beauty. Time to get there is about an hour and the experience is priceless. They offer history, culture, crystal clear water, amazing flora and fauna, numerous coves or whatever you can imagine you would like to explore.

City of Dubrovnik

Another ancient Croatian city with it’s spectacular cultural and historical heritage, worth seeing and exploring. The whole old part of the city in on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1797. So it’s not that strange that for years it’s the most visited port and town in the Mediterranean.

One of the additional reasons is that it is also known as King’s landing, the famous filming location for “Game of Thrones”. You also check out why!

Plitvice lakes

This National park is one of the most famous Croatian attractions. Within the mountains Mother Nature created 16 lakes in between rivers and countless waterfalls.
